High Tatras an underrated Hiking GEM of Slovakia
The mountains that you've likely never heard of. They are a part of the northern edge of Slovakia and southern border of Poland in Europe. They are the most elevated section of the Tatra chain within the Carpathian Mountains and form a natural border between the two countries. The area is popular with outdoor enthusiasts. Depending on the season, people come and visit for skiing, climbing and hiking.

Cottage at Zelené pleso
The cottage lies by an emerald green lake surrounded by massive peaks of the High Tatras. It is open all year round and offers a rich selection of food and drinks.
What I like about it :
I consider it one of the easiest and most enjoyable daytime adventures anyone can experience. With fresh air and stunning views all around, it's a perfect way to spend the day.
Lamb peak
Beatiful granite pyramide of "Jahňací Štít" - Lamb peak. The marked route reaching the summit explains its remorseless popularity among Tatra hikers, absolutely wonderful and varied panorama attracts many. Jahnaci stays still also quite popular climbing target offering lots of routes of different technical difficulty level.
What I like about it :
My first hike was an incredible experience that left me eager for more. The trail, though not too challenging, offered breathtaking views and was a lot of fun to explore with a group of friends. It was both enjoyable and engaging, making me excited to plan my next adventure.
Slavkovský štít
This is a 5km black diamond singletrack trail located near Poprad. The fourth highest mountain peak that can be reached on a marked trail in the High Tatra mountains. It's summit is 2452 meters above sea level.
What I like about it :
It was a tough one to do, but the feeling after completing something challenging is amazing, especially when you're standing on top of a peak with the most incredible view. I both hated and enjoyed seeing how far I could push myself and still succeed.
